INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL (IC) AND PROPENSITY TO MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS (M&A) IN THE INDIAN PHARMACEUTICALS AND CHEMICAL INDUSTRY
Journal of Contemporary Issues in Business and Government,
2022, Volume 28, Issue 4, Pages 1-19
This study is intended to analyse the various Intellectual Capital(IC) components and other
firm specific factors which determines the M&A decision of a firm in the Indian
pharmaceutical and chemical industry. Binary logistic regression is used for testing the
various Intellectual Capital components such as Human Capital(HC), Structural capital (SC)
and Customer capital(CC) and firm characteristics like Firm size, Leverage and Return on
Asset on propensity to M&A in these high tech industries. The result shows that IC elements,
namely, HC, SC, and CC are the strong determinant of M&A propensity in the
pharmaceuticals and chemicals industry in India. In the pharmaceutical industry, the
companies which are having less HC (labour intensity) and high SC( R&D and patent ) and
strong CC( Marketing & distribution Intensity) are more tend to go for M&A. And acquirers
in the pharmaceutical industry are larger in size, and their firm performance also good. In the
chemical industry, the companies that have higher HC, higher Innovation Capital and higher
CC and less experienced companies have more probability of an acquirer. Similar to
pharmaceutical acquirers, these acquirers are also larger in size, and they have better firm
performance.

The impacts of ethical leadership in nursing in Pakistani cultural and social environments
were explored in this study. The overall subject matter has two primary categories and numerous
subcategories. This study contributes to the string of research showing the importance of ethical
leadership and the consequences it has on employees and society. This study attempts to advance
current studies about ethical leadership to obtain insight into its present influence in the Hospitals.
While researchers have confirmed the relationships between leadership characteristics and employee
outcomes, there is a need for further research regarding ethical leadership and psychological wellbeing.
Based on the data gathered and the conclusions reached, it can be concluded that there is a high
correlation between ethical leadership and employee job outcomes. The study revealed three
employee-related outcomes: employee voice, employee well-being, and organisational commitment.
As a result of the data collected, it has been shown that the job-related outcomes are solely dependent
on effective management. Good management, on the other hand, can only be observed in the presence
of strong leadership. It is possible to conclude from these findings that ethical leadership is critical for
businesses because it assists them in maintaining internal harmony and employee involvement in the
pursuit of organisational objectives.

Nowadays, mushroom cultivation is one of India's most productive and profitable businesses and
encourages employment. It is getting popular gradually because, in a short time, it converts farmers' hard
work into a remarkable profit. Despite a favorable climate and low-cost labour, India has witnessed a
lukewarm response in its growth. At present, India's total production of mushrooms is 0.13 million tons. The
paddy straw mushrooms stand sixth among the mushrooms, biologically known
as Volvariella volvacea. These edible mushroom cultivated and consumed extensively in Asian continents all
throughout. Often these are available in fresh conditions in the regions they are produced. Still, their quality,
quantity, and packaging efficiency while reaching the customers is a significant concern for this sector's
profitability and sustainable growth. India is reported a lukewarm response in its development, so has
Odisha. A nondescript village, Kutenpadar in Odisha's Kalahandi, reputed for starvation death in the '80s, is
now a role model for socio-economic growth and women empowerment. However, scientific understanding
still has a long way to go! The current study was conducted via questionnaire among farmers in four zones of
Odisha. To infer the zonal variation of Odisha in terms of quality, quantity, and packaging efficiency,
rigorous statistical analysis such as significance test, ANOVA, and post hoc testing were used. The four zones
have considerable differences in quality, quantity, and packaging efficiency, with packaging efficiency being
the main reason.

The advent of internet and telecommunication technology has led to the emergence
of digital footprint around the world. Subsequently there have been studies linked to internet
usage and socioeconomic development. The difference in internet usage among different
countries has also been identified as digital divide. Policy makers and government are
concerned about internet and telecommunication usage as drivers of digital economy for
sustainable development goals. However, not all countries are similar in their level of internet
penetration and usage of advanced technologies. Socioeconomic barriers prevalent in different
countries may prevent much of the population engagement in different information and
communication technologies. Therefore it becomes imperative to study from a wider
perspective whether the economic development of nations influence the usage of digital
technologies.
This paper examines the impact of different economic development indicators on internet
usage by applying different panel data analysis methods. The economic indicators evaluated
here are GDP growth, proportion of salaried workers, unemployment levels, broad money,
import of technology equipment, capital growth, mobile subscription, employment and
income levels. All the factors except capital growth are having statistical significance with
proportion of internet usage. Further, at different income levels the proportion of salaried
workers has a significant influence on internet usage. The study reveals the importance of
economic development in improving the digital footprint among different nations.

assemble data concerning COVID pandemics from various perspectives. During this
lockdown, individuals are constrained to stay at home and social media has maintained care

search, find, and buy things, to the way organizations, brands, and sponsors/advertisers
broadcast and promote their products or services. At the point when people began
contributing more energy at home, due to pandemics, they furthermore began using the web
more, which achieved an abrupt extension in web-based media engagement. Keeping this as a
focus, the current study shows how well social media marketing can help analyse customers’

Only in an encouraging climate will the media be able to play a positive role in democracy. They
require the essential abilities of detailed reporting that a modern democracy requires. There
should also be a structure in place to ensure that they are responsible to the public and uphold
moral and professional standards. Media independence is ensured when media organizations are
monetarily independent of media owners and the state and function in a competitive atmosphere.
The media should also be accessible to as broad a cross-section of society as feasible. Efforts to
assist the media should focus on strengthening press rights, increasing media liability,
developing media capabilities, and democratizing media access. This theory suggests that media,
and in particular television channels, develop the ideas of the people. People who spend more
time on television, it tends to be their main source of information. Therefore, the population of
present study consisted of all the female and male who study in universities. Four universities
selected for the collection of data and the survey sample comprises a total of 120 respondents, 30
respondents taken from each university. The findings of paper indicate that most people rely on
electronic media for political news. It influences people’s perceptions and they are becoming
politically aware by electronic media especially by the news channels.
Turkish-German Trade Relations 1993–2005 A.D.

The Turkish-German relations enjoy strong common interests between the two parties, especially in
the economic field, as the Turks consider the presence of the Germans important in their economic
strategies, in addition to being Turkey's gateway to rapprochement with the European Union .
Common interests prompted both countries to seek to overcome the political tensions that
sometimes arise between them. Germany has worked hard to maintain the exports of German
companies to Turkey at a high level, while the Turks are seeking to continue the activity of their
industrial sectors in supplying Turkish exports to Germany, as well as benefiting from German
investments presented to the Turkish economy.

Turkey's membership in the European Union is one of the most historical and decisive
events in the construction of the social, economic and political structure of Europe. It is clear
that Turkey is not a strong candidate like the others. Turkey is challenging the European
system in order to be a part of it.
Ironically, this challenge is as much cultural as it is political for Europe, which is more and
more preoccupied with its identity, its borders, and its future. The opening of membership
negotiations has alarmed the Europeans, prompting intense and unprecedented debates within
the corridors of the European Parliament. The Muslim Turks, on the threshold of the
European Union, are once again being imagined by turning back to Ottoman history and
memory.
Although EU membership is a political issue. But in the case of Turkey, discussions show
that he is beyond politics. It seems that the Europeans are convinced that Turkey is a mirror
of the cultural and religious heritage of Europe, and this has sparked an existential reflection
on nature and identity thanks to its close interest and active presence at the local and
European levels. European Christian churches are among the actors most participating in
these discussions in a highly secular Europe Since religion should have nothing to do with
politics, what kind of position or role should churches assume? Has religion returned to the
new Europe? This paper aims to look at how "Christian Europe", which has historically led
the hostile response to Muslim Turks, is now in a position to integrate Muslim Turkey into
the European Union.

outcomes for both big and medium-sized manufacturers. It emphasises that happy workers are more
productive and efficient in the workplace. According to the study, a happy worker is one who
appreciates his or her position in the company. On the other hand, a negative outlook on the job is
indicative of an individual who is unhappy in his position. The motivation behind this examination is to
decide if there is an observationally provable connection between job satisfaction and organizational
performance and if so, what direction and strength does this relationship take among employees working
in the manufacturing sector in Karnataka. Ten firms from both major and medium-sized industries were
chosen as the basis for the empirical study, and a total of 155 workers were polled. According to the
results, there is a little however critical connection between representative work fulfillment and

Diversity ‘Phyllophyte’ in Institutions of Higher Learning

DOI:

An exciting debate about diversity management, a subject of increasing interest over the last four
decades in the business context, is even more relevant to institutions of higher education where
diversity is present both in the supplier and customer side. The paper argues that the instrumental
rather than normative argument that is presented in it will be based on the business case for
diversity. Ordinarily the business case approach sees as a business opportunity and a means but
not an end to attaining competitive edge making it possible to build creativeinstitutions (Cox &
Blake, 1991; Pitts & Jarry, 2007).The paper further interrogates in nature-exploring diversity
Management practices as embraced by institutions of higher learning, with special attention paid
to Botswana context. The investigation employed dedicated focus group interviews, in-depth
interviews and study of existing literature on diversity management. The adoption of
triangulation meant that weaknesses and strength of each method offset the other solidifying the
study findings. The paper also highlights the existing status quo in terms of diversity
management in institutional contexts and further consolidates existing knowledge on diversity
cultures across and within institutions. It further opens up an open –minded approach to dealing
with unrelated and related aspects of work socially, economically, religiously and otherwise. The
paper has just been written just when the COVID 19 pandemic effects and debates are ongoing.
The findings of this paper have significant practical and research implication for scholars,
academics, practitioners, policy makers and general populace. Given the fact that as individuals
we construe meanings based on our values and beliefs the creation of an organizational culture
which values diversity may rely on not only a shift in attitudes but an examination of underlying
values.
Auditing New approach of Credit loss for Financial Institutions in The Audit Data Analytics Era: A field Study in Egypt
Journal of Contemporary Issues in Business and Government,
2022, Volume 28, Issue 4, Pages 314-362
DOI:
10.47750/cibg.2022.28.04.024
Purpose-The main objective of the study to propose Audit Data Analytic Tools (ADA)
to develop the role of the External Auditor in enhancing the communication of the
Expected Credit Loss (ECL) estimate as a very complex and subjective item of Critical
Audit Matters (CAMS) of the New Audit Report.
Design/methodology/approach- The study depends on uses of the field approach
through a questionnaire distributed by the researcher to academic staff members of
some selected universities and the audit professionals whether the internal auditors in
banks listed and controlled by the Egyptian central bank & the external auditors
registered in the financial regulatory authority of the big auditing firm in Egypt with
expertise in the banking industry sector ( i.e Pwc, KPMG ,Grand Thorton ,EY) to test
the relevance of the proposed framework for CAMS communication.
Findings-The findings of the study show the significant importance of ECL i.e.,CAMS
Communication to the financial statement users as it promotes the user to the audit
report and finally improves the understanding and relevance of the related financial
statements. Thus,When the CAMS disclosures in the audit report are provide, investors
may be more confident that the auditors have determined and appropriately addressed
the most highly risky assertions in the financial statements which reflect on the audit
quality.
Originality/value-This study contributes to the audit literature by proposing a suitable
Audit Data analytics tool (tools) to develop an independent estimate (i.e. Point of
estimate) for the new ECL as a very complex and subjective CAMS item in order to
stand on its reasonableness by the external auditor. As well as proposing the relevant
form for communicating such information as a CAMS in the l audit report.

In this study, we use multivariate stepwise regression analysis to examine how various
macroeconomic factors have affected the Indian stock market. To investigate the underlying
dynamic causal relationship between the variables,a Granger causality test was performed and
Average monthly closing prices of BSE Sensex and S&P CNX Nifty are used as dependent
variables, while industrial production (IIP), wholesale price index (WPI), money supply (M3),
interest rates (IR), trade deficit (TD) and investment are institutional variables. Foreign exchange
(FII), exchange rate (ER), crude oil price (CP), and gold price (GP) are used as independent
variables (GP).Data from January 2020 through June 2022 was evaluated for this analysis. The
empirical findings of this study feature the significance of macroeconomic factors in explaining
the behavior of the Indian stock market. Investors' inclination for gold has to be tempered, and
the government should instead encourage further participation in the stock market.

This research looks at the marketing and operations practises of rural banks in India's When used
in this context, "marketing strategy" refers to any set of actions taken with the intention of
increasing demand for a certain product or service. In light of the increased competitiveness in
the banking industry, the use of this term has become widespread. Banks, including rural banks,
need to employ effective marketing strategies in their operations to please clients in a first-class
way in today's fiercely competitive marketplace and rapidly evolving client desires and
requirements within the business landscape. Consumers' shifting tastes and preferences in the
modern economy have driven banks both small and large to adapt in order to stay competitive
and retain their clientele. Inevitably, this will raise the bar for service across the sector, which in
turn will stimulate growth in the economy. To stay ahead of the competition, banks need to
develop and implement strategies that provide them a distinct advantage. Providing excellent
customer service is a crucial component in maintaining a competitive edge. The study's
overarching purpose was to learn more about the methods Rural Bank uses in its marketing
efforts to win new clients and keep existing ones happy. The information used for the study
comes from both primary and secondary sources related to rural banking.
An Empirical Study on Consumers Behavior towards Green Products Consumption in India

The spread of Novel Corona virus (COVID-19) has had far-reaching effects on the supply chain,
from raw materials to final goods. Consequences for public health, hygiene, and diet have
resulted from these shifts. Concerns about food safety have contributed to a growth in
consumers' preference for buying and eating locally produced foods. During the COVID-19
pandemic, consumers considered green goods as safer and healthier, which might have long-term
effects on their diets and healthcare spending. Concern for the environment has gone global.
Marketers are aware of the need to embrace green marketing tactics in response to the World
Health Organization's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs. In addition, these days shoppers
know a little more about green advertising than they did a year ago. As a result, several Indian
factories are adopting eco-friendly advertising strategies. Using a self-administered survey,
primary data was gathered for this investigation. In all, 400 replies met the criteria for further
examination. Therefore, a new model is being presented to the marketers in order to increase
their market share and profit among the rivals in the business.

Information technology is not only one of India's fastest-growing businesses, but also a major
factor in propelling the country's economy and changing its reputation from that of a
developing economy to that of a global powerhouse. The retention of skilled personnel has
become more important as the market has become increasingly competitive and human
resource managers have faced a serious scarcity of quality specialists. This is crucial as it
assures the sustainability and productivity of the firm. Despite the fact that "staff poaching" is
all the rage in the business world, even a little slip-up might result in the loss of brilliant minds
to a rival company. According to the literature, there are two types of employee turnover:
functional and dysfunctional. Dysfunctional turnover occurs when a top performer departs the
company, whereas functional turnover occurs when an unproductive employee leaves. Since
dysfunctional turnover is a major issue for HR managers, it is the subject of this research.
When an employee departs, it takes another seven weeks to fill their role, which has a negative
impact on the team's output. Staff retention has received far less attention than employee
turnover in previous studies. The purpose of this investigation is to specify the connection
between creative HR practises and productivity in the workplace. The researcher looks at the
several ways that independent and dependent variables are defined.

Energy plays a very important role in the process of attaining economic growth and development. But the price to be paid for this development is very huge as more than 70 % of energy needs in our economy is met from fossil fuel which is adversely affecting our environment. Despite huge solar potential in our country we are unable to tap it. The total solar potential for India is estimated as 750 GW (MNRE) but the current solar power installed capacity is just 3 GW. This clearly brings out the fact that to protect our planet without compromising the development goals we need to rigorously consider the tapping of solar potential. This would help us to fight the problems like Global warming and climate change. The present article is an attempt to investigate the measure to optimize solar power in future. Employees working in multinational companies spend a major chunk of their daily time in the workplace. The competition and threat of survival is growing rapidly. Employees in organizations are under the constant pressure to achieve higher goals to prove themselves. The aspirations of employees are skyrocketing, and they are striving to survive and thrive in a super competitive work environment. The glamourous hustle culture has swept the young workforce off its feet. It has been observed thatorganizations prefer people who tend to have high work drive, extreme work involvement and who can work beyond the capacity. Employees strive for perfection in all domains and an overdrive for perfectionism may lead to maladaptive rumination and impostorism. Impostor phenomenon can affect an individual’s work and family life. Impostorism, perfectionism and rumination are some prominent problems faced by employees working in corporate environments. The presentstudy assesses the relationship among impostorism, perfectionism and rumination in employees working in multinational companies. The sample comprised of 103 individuals (both males and females) working in multinational companies. ‘FFOCI- Short Form’ (Samuel et al.,2014) and ‘Clance Impostor Syndrome Scale’ (Clance, 1985) were used for gathering data.Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis were computedto assess the association among perfectionism, rumination &impostorism. Findings suggest that perfectionism, rumination and impostorismare positively correlated with each other& perfectionism and rumination significantly predict impostorism in employees working in MNC’s.The findings of the research will help in understanding the dynamics between the selected variables which will further help in formulation of strategies for reducing impostorism, maladaptive perfectionism and rumination and enhancing mental health of working population.

Future online payments are critical for the promotion of future online transactions (e-payments). However, little research has been done on the variations in different systems between secure and risky e-payments, as well as customer reactions. E-commerce encompasses a broad variety of online services and goods, as well as electronic networks for the transfer of funds and data. Various applications are used in the e-commerce industry. The trust in Ecommerce relies primarily on the online payment system that allows the customer to pay for an online trader. This trial focuses on Neuroscience (fMRI) and I identify secure e-payment and risky neural effects. The underlying brain mechanisms are revealed in the face of two broad specific systems: PayPal and debit cards are accepted. Thirty people took part in an experiment that simulated low-cost online shopping. Risky e-payments cause cortical areas associated with unwanted emotional processing, but highly secure e-payments do not, according to the report. PayPal is about more than just dependability, incentive, and effectiveness. In addition, the study revealed payments, by contrast, generate brain activation in relation to negative and risky events with the debit card. It is interesting that the right brain response has been used more positively (responsible for value encoding). These findings provide a precious overview of the unconscious origins of consumers' choice of payment systems.
THE EFFECT OF FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT AND FOREIGN PORTFOLIO INVESTMENT ON STOCK MARKET RETURN IN SAARC COUNTRIES.
Journal of Contemporary Issues in Business and Government,
2022, Volume 28, Issue 4, Pages 691-702
DOI:

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of foreign direct investment (FDI) and foreign portfolio investment (FPI) on stock market returns (SMR) in SAARC member nations between 2014 and 2019. The World Development Indicators (WDI) and the global economy provided secondary data for this study. Numerous punitive procedures, like the Shapiro-Wilk w-test for determining data normality and the Breusch-pagan test for determining heteroscedasticity, were utilised for robust data analysis. The findings reveal that all FDI and FPI had a low correlation with stock market returns; additionally, the low correlation indicates that the variables included in the current analysis did not exhibit multicollinearity. Diagnostic tests, including the Hausman test, revealed that the author should use the random effect model to analyse the data. The coefficient of FDI was shown to be negatively significant, meaning that increasing FDI reduces stock market returns. Growth in FPI, on the other hand, increased stock market returns. Additionally, the results suggested that the model as a whole is well-fitting.

The main purpose of this research paper is a well examined study of US military engagement in Syria. It tries to assess the situation in Syria, where various domestic as well as foreign parties have joined in the civil war to protect or overthrow the regime of Bashar Al-Assad. Syria, thus, has been the center of power struggle between many international actors (notably the United States and Russia) which have competed in the strategy of supremacy in the most toughest and bloodiest version of Arab Spring in the Middle East. And they are Syrians and refugees who have been suffering in the civil conflict in which the U.S. and Russia's political and geo-strategic interests take center stage. With regard to the reasons, developments and results from these elements which are mainly part of the international relations agenda of the Syrian case, the theory of Neo-Realism has been applied to the situation, in order to better compare and contrast the different factors of the conflict. The case will thus be analyzed by focusing on the clashing Syrian policy interests between major powers such as U.S and Russia and their conception of alliances in Syria.

The term "predictive analytics" refers to statistical and analytical methods. This phrase was created using statistics, machine learning, database methods, and optimization techniques. Its roots may be traced all the way back to classical statistics. It creates forecasts using both current and historical data. Predictive analytics algorithms may be used to predict unpredictable behavior and future occurrences. To assign a score, predictive analytics approaches will be employed. A larger number suggests a greater chance of an event occurring, whereas a lower number indicates a lower chance. These frameworks tackle a range of commercial and scientific problems by analyzing historical and transactional data trends. These models assist in identifying the risks and opportunities faced by each customer, employee, or management in a business. As interest in decision-support solutions has grown, predictive analytics models have risen to the top. In this article, we'll go through the methodology, techniques, and applications of predictive analytics.

DOI:

The embodiment of Islamic banking is so not the same as traditional banking, as it employments a risk-sharing procedure that provides a genuine opportunity to consider whether or not the way in which ordinary banking is attempted still remains the finest alternative, in all cases couple this with the fact that there has been increased globalisation of financial services, in recent years, and the opportunity to use Islamic financing principles in a wide range of countries is now much more relevant. Concerns have been raised about the activities of the conventional banking sector, particularly following the recent financial crisis. Accordingly, taking a gander at choices, for example, the Islamic financial area is a genuine chance to roll out appropriate improvements. Despite this, there are challenges confronting the Islamic banks in attempting to acquire general allure. One of the major issues is the fact that many Islamic banking establishments are dealing with developing countries which have their own set of challenges, especially in times of economic difficulties. Besides, the legitimate structures encompassing Islamic keeping money have not kept pace; As a result, many of the Islamic banking rules and regulations are outdated and will no longer help the core of how Islamic banks operate. With this in mind, it is proposed that a much stronger legal structure is needed to promote Islamic banking, and that, in the long run, Islamic banks are unlikely to gain widespread global acceptance. It takes time to persuade investors all over the world to change their ways, and trust must be earned. Nonetheless,, without having a legal structure in place, it is difficult to gain this level of confidence; therefore, getting the frameworks in place will be a crucial part of ensuring that the Islamic banking sector is in the appropriate place to benefit from a period of growth which is likely to take place as part of the recovery from the current economic position.

The aim is to pool small savings managed by a foreman who acts as a trustee-cum-supervisor for the process of collection and allotment for the pooled amount to catch members by rotation. Chit funds represent an ancient form of savings and credit institution before the banking system in rural India. Most of the financial needs of rural and urban middle-class people are taken care of by Chit funds. They meet their specific needs for large family functions, festivals, education, housing, agriculture, business, and medical expenses: most people, irrespective of urban and rural, avail this avenue for reasonable returns. Chit funds offer complete parallel banking services as a vast network of small business people, homemakers and salaried individuals. The popularity of chit funds has not been affected by the increased awareness of the mutual funds and equity market. The chit funds played a crucial role in the Indian financial system and worked as a bridge between the age-old financial practices and the modern banking system. Today chit fund in India is highly standardized and stands in the financial industry's status. Even after the enormous expansion of bank branches all over the country, chit funds continue to exist and expand more popularly than banks in many regions of the country.

Journal of Contemporary Issues in Business and Government,
2022, Volume 28, Issue 4, Pages 1334-1356
This study tackles the debate regarding the effect of corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance on cost of debt. The relationship between corporate CSR performance and the interest rate of debt is examined using the system GMM technique estimator on 243 listed non-financial firms from 10 MENA emerging countries (Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates) during the period 2011-2020. We provide substantial evidence that the association between CSR performance and the interest rate on debt - the accounting measure of the cost of debt, is significant and negative. This support stakeholders’ value maximization view and suggest that lenders reward better CSR performance. However, findings show that firms with more transparent CSR reporting are penalized by institutional creditors. Our findings provide more in-depth evidence on why companies should improve their CSR performance while paying more attention to CSR reporting practices.

DOI:

The study of the relationship between existing HRA competency and Return on investment (ROI) is a relevant theme. Though the role of employee-related elements of HRA (such as capabilities, motivation and opportunity; CMO) in influencing financial outcomes is relevant, there is no empirical evidence analysing the influence of these variables in the HRA competency-ROI relationship. Using a sample of HR professionals (n = 230) in private organizations in Bangalore, India, this paper tested the hypothesized model using SEM. The present paper examined the mediating effects of capability, motivation and opportunity on the relationship between the existing HRA competency and ROI. Likewise, this study tested the differential effect of capability, motivation and opportunity on ROI. The findings of the study identified a positive and significant relationship between existing HRA competency, employee motivation and ROI. Besides, ‘opportunity’ was identified as a significant mediator of the link between existing HRA competency and ROI. Concerning the differential effect of the individual employee-related variables, the present study revealed that ‘opportunity’ was more strongly related to ROI than ‘motivation’. As one of the first, this paper presents a framework that explains how HRA competency influences ROI through CMO.

The term "cloud storage" refers to a variety of online services that enable users to store and share digital media such as documents, data, photos, and videos. You may access these files from anywhere and on any device (laptop, mobile phone, tablet etc). With cloud computing, users are able to allocate their computing needs among a shared pool of powerful machines, increasing their access to resources like processing power, storage space, and software services. There is a growing population of internet users who rely on cloud-based resources. Large amounts of data are transferred from users to hosts and from hosts to users in the cloud environment, but as demand for cloud services grows, the associated cost and complexity for the cloud provider may become unsustainable. There may be times when two or more users make a request for the same item. Given these constraints, it's not easy to decide which host to use to gain access to the necessary resources and build a virtual machine (VM) in which to run the necessary applications in a way that maximises efficiency while minimising costs. Scheduling tasks in a cloud computing environment to maximise efficiency is one solution to this issue. An approach to job scheduling is provided by this project. In this research, we make an effort to suggest a host selection model based on shortest execution time to reduce overhead.

2022, Volume 28, Issue 4, Pages 1388-1399
This study analyzes the medical equipment system's impact on patients' disease progression after being treated at Vietnamese central public hospitals. The study surveyed medical staff and patients treated at central public hospitals. The gathered information and assessment was used to evaluate the current state of medical equipment being used in hospitals. The study also compared the relationship between the medical equipment status and the change in health status after the treatment. Research shows that, although the socialization policy offers a good opportunity for hospitals to upgrade medical equipment, the current policies cause many hospitals to face legal problems and prevent patients from accessing higher treatment qualifications. Improving the health financing policy will thus improve central hospitals in providing healthcare services and create better conditions for Vietnamese people to access the health care system.

In the process, empowerment will help women make better use of their talents to lead better lives. They do not aim at being superior to men. They respond as equal and cooperate in order to work towards the common goal. It is therefore a process aimed at changing the nature and direction of systematic forces, which marginalize women and other disadvantaged sections in a given context. The process of women’s empowerment should be critically linked to the issue of sustainability of their own livelihoods. If and only if a woman’s livelihood is ensured in a sustainable manner, would she be a willing stakeholder towards her empowerment. Why do people sometimes borrow features of another ethnic group's language? Why do we sometimes hear an accent that isn't there? Drawing on research from a range of ethnic groups around the world, it shows how language contributes to the social and psychological processes involved in the formation of ethnic identity, exploring both the linguistic features of ethnic language varieties and also the ways in which language is used by different ethnic groups. India is set to become the world’s youngest country with 64% of its population in the working age of 20-59 by 2020(19). This demographic dividend offers India an unprecedented edge & could add a significant 2% to the GDP growth rate. The country needs a productive workforce that can make a significant contribution to India’s economic development. With employability posing a major challenge and the kind of disruption that’s taking place across the world, lifelong learning seems to be the only way to stay employable in the future. Learnability is something, which everyone needs to emulate and practice i.e. youngsters need to increase their learnings; educators need to update themselves on a continuous basis and employers need to measure and facilitate learning by their employees. With the recent Covid-19 Global Pandemic, it is set to disrupt the conventional classroom teaching and open up new vistas for Learnability.
Skills development and employment generation are critical factors from a sustainability viewpoint. Hence, B-schools in particular & other stake holders in general need to pay attention to this aspect on priority, lest the promising advantage of demographic dividend might wither away. The purpose of the paper is to look at the concept of Learnability, its importance and its impact on employability. Secondly what's that B- schools need to do to improve Learnability. In the process, the authors also look some of the B- schools & their various initiatives taken in this regard. This is purely an exploratory study based on secondary data, review of literature and expected to emphasize on the importance of Learnability.

Illegal levies such as ingrained in people's daily activities, and not infrequently, illegal levies are considered something that is commonly done in Indonesia. This study discusses the handling of unlawful levies carried out by the Illegal Levy Clean Up Task Force, including effectiveness and obstacles, as well as handling solutions with a planned behavior and technology approach. This research uses a qualitative research approach, where the data collection used is an interview, observation, and documentation methods which are then analyzed with interactive model data analysis techniques. The results of this study show that illegal levies continue to occur in the community due to the non-optimal enforcement caused by several obstacles such as the condition of the Illegal Levy Clean Up Task Force, which is not law enforcement, the lack of derivative rules, the establishment of an ineffective illegal levy eradication unit, the occurrence of multiple positions, and low community participation. The handling of illegal levies in terms of planned behavior aspects is carried out through socialization, rules, and an ecosystem of control functions that close space for illegal levy activities. Other things that need to be done to deal with illegal levies are establishing a whistleblowing system, strengthening witness protection, the obligation to form derivative rules, and handling illegal levies in a multilevel manner. In addition, technological aspects can also support the implementation of effective handling of illegal levies. The Illegal Levy Clean Up Task Force can establish a prevention system to accelerate coordination, mapping, and evaluation in eradicating illegal levies.

Rural-to-urban migration is an ongoing process under the current circumstances. 54% of the world's population lives in urban areas and has access to per capita employment resources. India and Nigeria have the highest growth rates, according to a United Nations report. This study is being conducted with the aim of analyzing the access to health care of the migrant population in Kewra Village, Haryana. Interstate immigrants are coming to Haryana and other metropolitan areas of India in hopes of a better quality of life, higher incomes, better education and better health facilities. But the harsh reality is that these development indicators are not readily available to the majority of the immigration-dependent Indian population. In Haryana, migrant workers are generally absorbed into the agricultural sector. These migrant workers are forced to work on the land of other farmers and landlords. They only contribute to the production of agricultural products and do not own any land within the state for their own consumption or farming. Some of these migrant workers tend to work in the same fields for long periods of time, earning a daily wage as a reward for their loyalty, but some are also promoted to share in the harvest. These migrant workers are an important source of capital and contribute significantly to the production of landlords and farmers

The concept of competency is crucial since it enables us to establish a systematic hiring procedure in order to evaluate applicants (Barbosa, I, Freire, C, & Santos, M. P., 2017, Ali, N. A. M., & Kasim, N., 2019). But it still has an issue whereby there is too many research on traits for Islamic finance graduates’ employability. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to analyse the right set of competencies as a scale to be used in Islamic financial institutions (IFIs). Using a qualitative method of library research, this paper found the right set of competencies for the graduates’ employability are interpersonal skills, knowledge abilities, Islamic values, self-management, time management, cognitive-analytical, cognitive-technical, enthusiasm, and language. Thus, this paper promotes the idea of a set of competencies for IBF graduates that meet the job vacancy demand of Islamic financial institutions.

The disruptions created by COVID-19 has lasting implications on the countries across the world. Apart from impacting key sectors of the economy, COVID has significantly affected the financial sector causing volatility and changes in asset valuation. There is no doubt that mutual funds still remain the popular mode of investment during COVID-19 followed by equities. However, shrinking fees, reducing profit margins and ever-changing investors preferences along with the pandemic imposed new set of challenges for the fund managers. Using data envelopment analysis, this paper examines the efficiency of open-ended equity funds and select debt schemes during COVID-19. The analysis reveals that during COVID, equity schemes pertaining to large and multi-cap segment were efficient. But the efficiency of mid and small cap equity schemes was affected due to the high expenses’ ratio and volatility. Interestingly, all open-ended debt schemes were efficient during COVID with mean efficiency score more than equity schemes. As no single fund house is found to be efficient in all the segments, the investor can pick efficient schemes to construct optimum portfolio of mutual funds

With the rapid development of our economy and the acceleration of the aging of the population, more and more manual jobs can not find suitable candidates, and the exoskeleton assisted transport robot(EATR) has become a research hotspot. Most of the existing exoskeleton assisted robots at home and abroad are expensive and complex in structure, which is not suitable for the actual needs of ordinary workers in India. Based on the virtual simulation technology(VST), the structure of exoskeleton assisted handling robot(EAHR) is designed and studied in this paper. Through the VST, the virtual prototype of the bone assisted handling robot is simulated, and the virtual prototype model of the exoskeleton robot(ER) is established. The driving function of each joint handling action is established for the human body(HB) handling action. The simulation results show that the movement trajectory of the lower limb joints of the ER is almost identical with the input angle of the lower limb joints of the HB's gait movement, and has high response and stability characteristics

This study focuses on the harm that inappropriate trade invoice utilisation does to the growth of the economy. Due to the fact that China is the primary trading partner, trade figures with China are emphasised, empirically validated, and exhibited. The findings of the study demonstrate that China is engaging in illicit trade practises, which is affecting India's economy. The research revealed that excessive and inadequate invoicing is a major cause of capital flight. Long-term global economic downturn prompts some economists and policymakers to demand for stricter regulations to safeguard their domestic economies. If put into practise, this might cause a high tariff and non-tariff system similar to the one that governed the pre-globalized world economy. Mismatched trade statistics between developed and developing nations point to significant misreporting of economic data, mostly by traders in developing nations. Due torigid exchange rate regimes, severe import limitations and export subsidies prevailing in less developed nations. This study specifically addresses the under-invoicing of imports as a result of high trade restrictions in a market where domestic companies compete with importers. The studyanalyses that how the levels of under-invoicing isimpacted by tariff levels, market structure, and government involvement (in the form of the extent of monitoring and the severity of sanctions). The information collected and reported from China and India showed a considerable discrepancy, and Indian tax authorities are now thoroughly investigating the issue to look for any instances of under-invoicing of Chinese business imports. A detailed review revealed that the country's invoiced imports were far less than China's exports to India

Therefore, present study aims: firstly to explore how the health complains among the elders are distributed across the rural-urban sectors; and secondly, what is the nexus between socioeconomic status and health complains.
Research Design: The study has analysed unit-level data for the elderly (60 years and above). The analysis has two parts: firstly, the study explored the distribution of health complains using the descriptive statistics and econometric analysis explored the relationship between socioeconomic status and health complains across the sectors.
Findings: The study finds that health situation of the elderly has deteriorated and the rural-urban sectorial gap has widened during over time. Findings suggest that socioeconomic status has close congruence with the self-reported health status but the relationship largely varies due to sectorial residency.
Implications: Firstly, the study identified the trend of the elderly population's perception of their health over a decade, which can help to understand the future healthcare demand. Secondly, the study conducted an in-depth analysis to comprehend how socioeconomic characteristics influence perceptions of health in a rural-urban framework, which can shed light on the sources of emerging healthcare needs.
Originality: To the best of my knowledge, this is the first study to make an effort to pinpoint the sectorial geriatric health trajectory, the health gap, and related contributing socioeconomic determinants of the aged over a decade, specifically in the context of India

Humans have invented locks since ancient times, to use them to protect their privacy and personal belongings. They are constantly evolving over the ages for better protection. But the problem is that locking the door these days is not safe and can be easily bypassed. Our doors can be forgotten, and this is a common occurrence for most people. Locks are trying these days to depends on technology by using a code or phone or by card to make our things safer. But there are limits, which are the lack of features to be combined in one place. also, the lack of high-security features. To solve this problem, we need to combine all the modern security features into one lock as well as monitoring features. Thus, we have high security, comfortable opening, and closing systems, and features that help us easier and faster, all requirements do not conflict and help to make our homes safer than before. Today, the provision of a home security system has become an important study in adopting the latest technology to achieve this goal. Wireless network is one of the technologiesused to provide remote monitoring and control of household items. This paper aims to propose a key departmental security system based on Raspberry pi technology where cameras, keypad and pi-lids are used to provide a terrific powerful system to notify the owner, and to inform visitors by giving them a User ID. For this reason, only authorized people will be allowed to enter the departments. The system works by capturing guests with a summary with a code and a camera mounted on the doors at the same time, such snippets will be sent to the owner. The proposed system could beexpanded to accommodate various facilities and services such as banks and offices.

There are many possibilities a fire can start in an industrial area or in any remote area. For example, in textile mills, gas storages, etc., electric leakages can lead to huge damage. Also, it’s a worst-case scenario, causing heavy losses not only financially but it also can destroy areas surrounding it. Robots can protect human lives and their wealth and surroundings. The aim is to design a “AURDINO BASED AUTONOMOUS FIRE FIGHTING ROBOT” using embedded system. A robot is capable of fighting and helps in extinguishing fire. It must be able to autonomously navigate through floor plan while actively scanning for a flame. The robot can even act as a path guider in normal case and can act as a fire extinguisher in emergency. Robots designed to find a flame, before it reaches out ofcontrol, can one day work with fire-fighters greatly reducing the risk of injury to victims. The project will help in generating innovations in the fields of robotics while working towards a practical and obtainable solution to save lives and to reduce the risk of property damage. With the development in the field of robotics, human intrusion has become less and robots are being widely used for safety purpose. In our day-to-day lives, fire accidents have become common and sometimes may lead to hazards that make it hard for the firemen to protect human life. In such cases, a fire fighting robot is used to guard human lives, wealth and surroundings from fire accidents

Irrigation is the basic need for the growth of the crops. The crops on one side are very fragile in nature, which can be easily taken care by providing exactly right amount of water for their growth. If the water is applied in abundant quantity then it will effect directly to the crop yield. And on the other side the weather of our country is not supporting in providing right amount of water to the crops as and when required due to the unpredictable nature of the climate change. In order to overcome the above situation we design an system named “SPRINKLER WATERING SYSTEM” which is useful for farming. By this we can reduce the watering cost to the farmers, maintenance cost. We can easily water the field each and every end. There will be some fields at higher areas at which it is difficult to water with the pipeline system. In that areas this Sprinkler Watering System is the best proposed solution to water the field. By this we can change the irrigation acre age (area of land which used for agriculture). Comparative irrigation crops yields, Labour savings, Production costs. Even can be used for spraying peticides. It will definitely reduce the capital cost, maintenance cost with better efficiency. The sprinkler watering system is better investment in long run as compared to surface methods. As sprinkler irrigation proved to be better in uniform distribution of water, uniform application of fertilizers and water saving especially in water scarcity. With this it is easy to irrigate the field at each and every end by rotating the sprinkler itself.

Air pollution is a mixture of solid particles and gases in the air. Car emissions, chemicals from factories, dust, pollen and mold spores may be suspended as particles. OZONE, a gas, is a major part of air pollution in cities. When ozone forms air pollution, it's also called smog. If the air quality index (AQI) reports are anything to go by, then the quality of air in most cities of India is deteriorating day by day. As the winter months of October and November approach, the air quality outdoors becomes worse since the pollution that is generated from various sources gets trapped because of differences in air pressure, moisture and wind speeds. This also tends to have a direct influence on the indoor air quality in home or office spaces here most individuals tend to spend approximately 90% of their time. In the past decade or so, the home air purifier market has shifted multiple gears as an affordable solution for indoor air quality. Besides this, there have been seemingly ground breaking advancements in filtration technologies ensuring the development of the next level in air purifier.
POTHOLE DETECTION SYSTEM

Aging roads and poor road-maintenance systems result a large number of potholes, whose numbers increase over time. Potholes jeopardize road safety and transportation efficiency. Moreover, they are often a contributing factor to car accidents. To address the problems associated with potholes, the locations and size of potholes must be determined quickly. Sophisticated road-maintenance strategies can be developed using a pothole database, which requires a specific pothole-detection system that can collect pothole information at low cost and over a wide area. However, pothole repair has long relied on manual detection efforts. Recent automatic detection systems, such as those based on vibrations or laser scanning, are insufficient to detect potholes correctly and inexpensively owing to the unstable detection of vibration-based methods and high costs of laser scanning-based methods. Thus, in this paper, we introduce a new pothole-detection system using a commercial black-box camera. The proposed system detects potholes over a wide area and at low cost. We have developed a novel pothole-detection algorithm specifically designed to work with the embedded computing environments of black-box cameras. Experimental results are presented with our proposed system, showing that potholes can be detected accurately in real-time.
